Daily Play Call #89

26 Therefore I testify and protest to you on this [our parting] day that I am clean and innocent and not responsible for the blood of any of you.

27 For I never shrank or kept back or fell short from declaring to you the whole purpose and plan and counsel of God.

Acts 20:26-27 AMPC

Is Blood on Your Hands?

  • Why did the Apostle Paul tell the church at Ephesus that he was FREE from the blood of all men?

  • Why did he feel that it was necessary for him to say that?

18 If I say to the wicked, You shall surely die, and you do not give him warning or speak to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked way, to save his life, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand.

19 Yet if you warn the wicked and he turn not from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered yourself.

20 Again, if a righteous man turns from his righteousness (right doing and right standing with God) and some gift or providence which I lay before him he perverts into an occasion to sin and he commits iniquity, he shall die; because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood will I require at your hand.

21 Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he is warned; also you have delivered yourself from guilt.

Ezekiel 3:18-21 AMPC

WOW! Paul understood that we as Christians must preach the WHOLE TRUTH. Paul said that there was NOT any blood on his hands because he DID NOT hold back any truth from them.

  • Are you hearing the WHOLE truth at church?

  • Do you know everything Jesus commands and is it being taught to you?

  • Do you preach the WHOLE truth?

There are many difficult topics that Jesus addressed during His ministry. Many churches, Christian organizations and Christian schools do not address or teach on those topics because they feel it can cause division. Yes, it can cause division, but who do we serve?

  • Do you serve the happiness of man or Jesus?

34 Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

35 For I have come to part asunder a man from his father, and a daughter from her mother, and a newly married wife from her mother-in-law—

36 And a man’s foes will be they of his own household.

Matthew 10:34-36 AMPC

  • Jesus came to separate and divide. The sheep from the goats.

  • If we do not teach certain topics because of fear of offending people, losing donations, friends, jobs, and family, we will have blood on our hands.

  • We must WARN people! If you truly LOVE your neighbor as you love yourself, you will warn them!

31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Acts 20:31 KJV
