Baptize

Matthew 28 in the last 3 verses are very important. Jesus tells His disciples on a mountain in Galilee that all authority in Heaven and Earth has been given unto Him. He then tells them to Go to ALL NATIONS to make disciples and baptize them in the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We baptize those who believe in Jesus because Jesus commanded us to and we also want to follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We see in the Bible many times where new converts were almost baptized immediately. They had a hunger and a desire to be obedient to Jesus. Praise God, we should have that same hunger and desire as well. If you have never been baptized and believe in Jesus I would encourage you to go and get baptized TODAY. Baptism is also symbolic for dying with Christ and being born again or new when coming up out of the water. Baptize by definition means to immerse or be completely under water.
What shall we say [to all this]? Are we to remain in sin in order that God’s grace (favor and mercy) may multiply and overflow?
2 Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?
3 Are you ignorant of the fact that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
4 We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life.
5 For if we have become one with Him by sharing a death like His, we shall also be [one with Him in sharing] His resurrection [by a new life lived for God].
Romans 6:1-5 AMPC
20 [The souls of those] who long before in the days of Noah had been disobedient, when God’s patience waited during the building of the ark in which a few [people], actually eight in number, were saved through water.
21 And baptism, which is a figure [of their deliverance], does now also save you [from inward questionings and fears], not by the removing of outward body filth [bathing], but by [providing you with] the answer of a good and clear conscience (inward cleanness and peace) before God [because you are demonstrating what you believe to be yours] through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:20-21 AMPC
Do not delay! If you can get baptized today go and do it!
16 And now, why do you delay? Rise and be baptized, and by calling upon His name, wash away your sins.
Acts 22:16 AMPC
