13 And He said to them, Do you not discern and understand this parable? How then is it possible for you to discern and understand all the parables?
Mark 4:13 AMPC

Parable of the sower
⇒ Jesus said to His disciples, “If you do not know this parable, then how will you understand the rest of the parables?”
14 The sower sows the Word. 15 The ones along the path 1are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them. 16 And in the same way the ones sown upon stony ground 2 are those who, when they hear the Word, at once receive and accept and welcome it with joy; 17 And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away. 18 And the ones sown among the thorns 3 are others who hear the Word; 19 Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless. 20 And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil 4 are the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept and welcome it and bear fruit—some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much. Mark 4:14-20 AMPC
Jesus says only 1 out of the 4 groups who hear the Word of God bear fruit.
Example: 1 out of 4 is 25% (As an example, assuming the groups are equal #’s). 75% of the people who hear the Word of God will not bear fruit. That is many!
⇒23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:23-24 KJV
• The word Strive in the Greek is agōnizomai: to endeavor with strenuous zeal, to obtain something with struggle, difficulties and dangers. We must do whatever the Lord leads us to do by the Holy Spirit to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Brothers and sisters, the Lord is not playing games. He has already warned us in His Word to NOT be OFFENDED (John 16:1). Choose to forgive others. Choose to be merciful to others. Let us repent for our sins and turn away from them. The Lord Jesus, does not lie. If He says few find eternal life, then He really means FEW!
We should do whatever is necessary to bear fruit in the Lord. Be willing to sacrifice bad habits, friendships, money, and relationships that are not of God. It is worth it to have peace, joy, love, and happiness FOREVER with our Lord. If people do not want to be your friend because of your lifestyle of living out the Word of God, it is OKAY! We have plenty of friends in HEAVEN waiting for us.
