Be Holy
Our Lord says in the Gospel of John that we will be sanctified by the Truth. We see that the Word of God is the Truth. It will help us be Holy if we DO IT!. We must strive to live a Holy life that is pleasing to our Father. If we desire to live in God's Kingdom we must respect and obey His commands. Many people want to go to Heaven but do not want to respect and obey God's commands. That is like someone desiring to live in your house but does not want to respect your rules. You wouldn't want that person to live or stay with you because you have certain standards in your house. It is the same with God. He has commands that we must respect in order to live in His Kingdom. His Kingdom belongs to Him so He has the right to make the standards for HIS KINGDOM.
14 [Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel].
15 But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.
16 For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy.
