"...You shall not kill..."
Matthew 19:18 AMPC
You Shall not Kill
One of the 10 commandments is that we shall not kill. It is pretty simple and clear that we should not take another person's life. Also this refers to our own life as well. Suicide is someone taking their own life. It is wrong for someone to do that. It is a way of saying that they quit. The pressure of the world is too much for them to handle.
It is so important that if we see someone struggling with suicidal thoughts that we come alongside of them and encourage them in the Word. Suicide is increasing because of the pandemic and because of the way that the world is going right now.
To hate someone is the same as committing murder. Look at what the Bible says.
15 Anyone who hates (abominates, detests) his brother [in Christ] is [at heart] a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding (persevering) within him. 1 John 3:15 AMPC
People who are racist and call themselves Christians are severely deceived. True Christians need to show the love of Christ to those who are racist so they can hopefully repent and come to Christ. Racism comes from pride. Those who are prideful shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
6 But He gives us more and more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).
