32 Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me before men and confesses Me [out of a state of oneness with Me], I will also acknowledge him before My Father Who is in heaven and confess [that I am abiding in] him.
33 But whoever denies and disowns Me before men, I also will deny and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven.
Matthew 10:32-33 AMPC

Openly Confess Jesus
During my rookie season with the Arizona Cardinals I would spend time ministering and talking to my teammates about Jesus. I was there with Kurt Warner who was the Quarterback at the time and he is also a Christian.
When it was time to do the rookie show, I decided that I wasn't going to do something that made everyone laugh. I chose to sing the song El Shaddai from Lecrae's old album. When I was up there singing it was completely quiet and the whole team got to hear me sing praises to God. Halfway through, some of the veterans cut me off and then clapped. I then went to sit down. After the rookie show, two veterans came up to me and thanked me for being bold about my faith because it encouraged them.

When I was with the Detroit Lions, I was also bold about my faith in the locker room. My locker was right next to Calvin Johnson. In the morning, I would read Scripture and then pass my bible to Calvin so he could read too. I invited the whole WR squad to a mid week church service and everyone showed up to hear the Word.
During offseason, I spent time ministering to DE Jason Hunter during lunch in the cafeteria. Cedric Pearman and I would also have daily conversations about the Bible in the cafeteria. One day during lunch I went around the cafeteria inviting everyone to attend church. I even invited the front office staff. I had a strong zeal and boldness for the Lord. I did not care what other people thought about me.
When I was with the Las Vegas Locomotives in the United Football League I was also very open about my faith and bold for Jesus. My roommate Eric Henderson and I would talk about the Lord Jesus Christ everyday.

In 2011, I was at a Juneteenth celebration in Port Lavaca, Texas and I went up on stage to preach the Gospel. The celebration was not a Christian event but I felt led by the Holy Spirit to talk about Jesus and living a life for Him.
I want to encourage ya'll to be bold in your faith for Jesus. Share the Gospel and do not be ashamed.
Be a courageous Christian and not a coward.
