10 He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much, and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is dishonest and unjust also in much.
Luke 16:10 AMPC
Be Faithful in the small things
Jesus says that if we are faithful in the small things then we will be faithful in a lot. This is a command and God will be faithful to His own commands. If we have not been faithful in the small things then how do we expect God to trust us with a lot.
This is the same with sports, school, or jobs. Usually, people receive promotions because they have been faithful and consistent in their work. They are trustworthy. If you are believing God to take you to the next level, remain faithful so He can trust you. This is a requirement in order to progress in the faith and in your calling.
We must be faithful in everything that we do!
23 His master said to him, Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy (the delight, the blessedness) which your master enjoys.
Matthew 25:23 AMPC
These are the words that we want to hear from Jesus. Well done, good and faithful servant!
So then, let us [apostles] be looked upon as ministering servants of Christ and stewards (trustees) of the mysteries (the secret purposes) of God.
2 Moreover, it is [essentially] required of stewards that a man should be found faithful [proving himself worthy of trust].
1 Corinthians 4:1-2 AMPC
