22 And [Jesus] said to His disciples, Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious and troubled [with cares] about your life, as to what you will [have to] eat; or about your body, as to what you will [have to] wear.
33 Sell what you possess and give donations to the poor; provide yourselves with purses and handbags that do not grow old, an unfailing and inexhaustible treasure in the heavens, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.
Luke 12:22,33 AMPC

Sell your possessions
We see in Luke 12 verse 22 that Jesus is commanding His disciples. Then in verse 33 we see Jesus telling them to sell their possessions. We get to see exactly what was sold back then in Acts 2:45 and Acts 4:34-37. Some people may have asked why did the early church sell their possessions but we see why they did it. Jesus commanded them to and many of them sold their lands or houses. They didn't sell everything they had but they sold their extra land or house and whatever else they were led to sell. Some people may not have possessions to sell. That is okay.
I was led to sell my All-American jersey, helmet, national championship rings and FSU jerseys to help get this ministry going in 2020. It was not easy to do but I can't take any of those things with me when I go to be with the Lord Jesus in the Celestial (Heavenly) City. People having an opportunity to hear the Gospel and to know Jesus is more important to me, so I made that sacrifice for others.
Ask the Lord what can you sell to help others so they can be blessed.
The sacrifice is NEVER greater than the REWARD!
