37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

Matthew 22:37-38 KJV

Love God with 100% of our hearts!

Thank You, Jesus! Praise Your holy and mighty name! You are good and good alone! It’s important to know the standard that our Owner desires from the players (all believers) and assistant coaches (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, and elders). God desires 100% of our heart, soul, and mind.

Definitions / Semantics (meaning of words)

Heart in the Greek is Kardia-(of things done from the heart, obedience from the heart) Soul in the Greek is Psychē-(the seat of the feelings, desires, affections)

Mind in the Greek is Dianoia-(deep thought, understanding)

Great in the Greek is Megas-(Important, Of great weight)

The reason this is the FIRST and GREATEST Commandment is because if we love God with 100% of our heart, soul, and mind, we will desire to obey 100% of what He commands. We will obey the commands of Jesus not just because we have to, but because we want to.

How Do I Love God with All?

All means always. If we love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind, then we will always pray, worship, give thanks, rejoice, and meditate on the Word. If we apply these actions to our lives, we will be in habitual fellowship with God and focused on Him.

•If we are having trouble with this, then we need to examine ourselves to see if we Love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind. (2 Corinthians 13:5)

•What we talk about the MOST is what we love the most! (Matthew 12:34)

•In school, jobs, and sports, people desire 100% effort. God desires 100% of us as well.
