Daily Play Call #62

15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].

Mark 16:15 AMPC

Preach the Gospel

Jesus has commanded everyone who believes in Him to preach the good news wherever they go. Everyone in the faith should be trained on how to preach the good news of Jesus Christ. There are many people in the world who are lost and do not know Jesus. The Lord uses His people to get His message of salvation to the lost so everyone has an opportunity to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. The 2nd greatest command should help us walk in obedience to this command of Jesus. If we love others we would want them to know the way, the truth, and the life which is Jesus Christ.

Usually, when many first come into the faith they are on fire for God and want to share with others how God has moved in their life. We must keep this fire throughout our entire life and continue to tell others about Jesus. Evangelizing can be uncomfortable sometimes because people may reject the message. Understand, that our Lord was also rejected, mocked, and persecuted. We are not greater than our Lord. If they persecuted our Lord, they will also persecute us as well. Jesus said to rejoice when this happens to us.

60 But Jesus said to him, Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and publish abroad throughout all regions the kingdom of God.

Luke 9:60 AMPC

20 Remember that I told you, A servant is not greater than his master [is not superior to him]. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word and obeyed My teachings, they will also keep and obey yours.

21 But they will do all this to you [inflict all this suffering on you] because of [your bearing] My name and on My account, for they do not know orunderstand the One Who sent Me.

John 15:20-21 AMPC

2 Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging andinexhaustible in patience and teaching.

2 Timothy 4:2 AMPC
